Hsu Fu Chi International Limited recorded increased revenue for FY2008 by RMB 679 million to RMB 3,392 million, representing an improvement of 25.0% compared to FY2007. Gross margin for fourth quarter was relatively constant at 33.1%. FY2008, net profit attributable to shareholders of the Group increased by approximately 35.0% or RMB 89 million to RMB 345 million compared with last financial year
Raffles Education Corporation Limited posted increased turnover of 53.2% from $124.1 million in FY2007 to $190.0 million in FY2008. FY2008 profit attributable to shareholders of $98.8 million as compared to $49.3 million for FY2007, registered a growth of 100.3%.
Silverlake Axis Ltd recorded revenue growth of 11% to RM147.1 million and net profit attributable to shareholders rose 36% to RM108.8 million due to expanded business activities in both existing and new markets. The Group achieved a gross profit of RM115.0 million, a 18.0% increase over the gross profit of RM97.0 million recorded in the previous corresponding period. The Group reported a net profit after tax attributable to shareholders of RM108.8 million for financial year ended 30 June 2008, an increase of 36% over the profit after tax of RM80.0 million achieved in FY2007
AusGroup Limited posted revenue for the twelve months has increased by 34.8% to AUD$ 379.0 million (FY2007: AUD$ 281.1 million). Gross margins declined from 17.5% during the fourth quarter of FY2007 to 3.3% during the fourth quarter of FY2008. Gross margins declined due to certain variation claims associated with the work undertaken within the Engineering division that had not been finalized. Gross margins declined from 17.8% during the FY2007 to 12.7% during the FY2008 for the reasons stated above. The profit after tax for the twelve months ended 30 June 2008 decreased by 27.8% to AUD$ 14.4 million. The decreases were due principally to reduced margins associated with work undertaken within the engineering sector in Australia
SingTel subsidiary, Computer Systems Holdings Pte. Ltd. (CSH), acquires 60 per cent stake stake in Singapore Computer Systems (SCS) from Green Dot. CSH acquired 93,144,501 shares from Green Dot Capital Pte Ltd for S$1.50 per share in SCS for a total consideration of approximately S$140 million in cash. CSH is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NCS Pte Ltd, which is in turn, 100 per cent-owned by SingTel. Mr Lim Eng, NCS Chief Executive Officer, said: “This accelerates the overseas expansion plans of NCS by providing operational scale and an enlarged regional footprint. The IT services market is a high growth area and the potential for growth is enormous.”
Lian Beng Group Ltd announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Millennium International Builders Pte. Ltd. has secured the following construction contract worth approximately S$99.45 million from Royce Properties Pte Ltd for the proposed erection of 1 Block of 36-Storey Residential Flats Development Comprising (Total: 58 units) with 2 Basement Carparks, Swimming Pool & Communal Facilities at Cairnhill Road starting Q3 2008.
